Britt’s passion for wine started with small gatherings and grew into private tastings. His wines, inspired by his travels, range from American Cabernet to Bordeaux Blends. In 2019, he bought the Old Elder School in Kilgore, transforming it into a tasting room and entertainment destination. Now open to the public, you can enjoy wine and dine events or drop in to sample incredible wines.

We have a separate room that can be rented or the entire facility can be rented for multiple kinds of events. You can plan an amazing menu with Britt including wine pairings.
We had our 35th high school reunion at this location. The food was delicious. The table was decorated nicely for our small event. The background music was not loud so that we could easily carry a conversation. There is a wide selection of wines. The staff were very attentive and appeared to genuinely want us to enjoy our time catching up with friends. If you have a small event, I would feel very comfortable recommending you consider this venue. At least stop by and try some of the food.

Britt’s “Old School” Texas Moscato is the best white wine I have had. Definitely worth trying while there and taking a few bottles home for later.

We have passed this place a million times and always meant to go. Well tonight I made a reservation and we went and I'm so bummed we have been missing out! The food was absolutely amazing, the mac and cheese bites were creamy and cooked perfectly. Pork chop and chicken cordon Bleu were so tasty and they have the best mashed potatoes I've ever had in my life! The wine was great and the patio outside is a cozy romantic atmosphere for a date. They also had live music tonight, and it was the perfect volume we could still talk and enjoy ourselves. We really enjoyed it and it was surprisingly quite behind the old school building when we sat outside. We walked the vineyard after desert and it was just overall a perfect night.
