It has taken me a few months to do this review b/c I wanted to do it right! EXPERIENCE THIS VINEYARD! Looking for a quick romantic getaway nestled in East Texas near Marshall? This is the spot! We started with wine tasting, and let me tell you, Ron knows his stuff! We sampled 10 different wines and was educated on each. We then had dinner at Corks( reservations are required), and the food was amazing! Prepared the way we wanted and paired with a nice wine we sampled earlier that day. We finished the night by staying in one of the villas and I was in love. No TV, no wifi, just you and nature. The villa was fully equipped and very modern and nice. I will say that if you do stay at the villa, once the restaurant closes, you are out there by yourself. So stock up on snacks, water, and whatever you need b/c you can't leave the property till morning. I will definitely be visiting this vineyard again!
Had an amazing stay in the villas and a 10/10 tour of the facilities with Rolf this past Saturday. We visited for our 1 year wedding anniversary and the cleanliness of the villa and the views of the property were spectacular. Our Sommelier, Rolf took us through the entire wine making process and was so full of knowledge! He was personable and detail oriented. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Best of luck on your career Rolf- we can definitely see your passion!
For our second visit to Enoch’s, my husband had the halibut and I had the salmon, both amazing, as were the sides and the bread! We shared a bottle of the Malbec and it exceeded expectations. The grounds are beautiful but the facility itself is just ok. The furniture and construction of the building seem cheap and dated, like something from a two star hotel restaurant and do little to enhance the dining experience. I’d love to see Enoch’s open a fine dining restaurant in a historic building in Jefferson someday. - peggy wells
